This study investigated parental attitude towards the learning of Yoruba language in Private Secondary Schools in Oyo state.. The study adopted descriptive design. Six local government areas were randomly selected from the thirty three in Oyo State, .Questionnaire on Parent Language Preference were validated using Split half(r=.85). Three Research questions were answered, while one null hypothesis was tested. The results showed that attitude towards Yoruba language learning in private secondary schools is associated with the socio-economic deprived group. Also .findings revealed that parental attitude to the learning of Yoruba language do not influence the learning of Yoruba language in private secondary schools. There was a significant influence of parent attitude towards their children learning of Yoruba Language in Private Secondary Schools in Oyo State. It was recommended that all private schools should adopt the Federal Government (FGN) National Language Policy for the use across the country. Lastly, Yoruba language and culture should be mandated to be used in all Private Schools in Oyo State.
