Abstract
This study is explorees the role of language and literature as strategies for peace and security of any nation. The study relies on critical and textual analysis of some selected texts which unveil language and literature as catalysts for harmonious socio-political existence and development of a nation. The study submits that literature and language use are pivotal in social emancipation, national consciousness and nation building.
